Other larger towns and cities are also a relatively short drive away, Harrogate 45 minutes, York 80 minutes, Leeds 80 minutes (Leeds centre is also easily accessible by train from Skipton). The stunning North Yorkshire coastline from Whitby southwards through Scarborough to Bridlington is also just over a couple of hours away and is well worth the drive - ask us for the best routes. To the west of us the Lancashire coastline from Morecambe through Blackpool down to Southport is about 90 minutes away.
